We all can relate to changing schools or even starting school for the first time. One who has never experienced this can only imagine being of a different culture, speaking a different language, looking differently and being the â€Å"new kid.† Lucero best describes this when she states, â€Å"Made conscious of the â€Å"otherness† of Indians, my world began to divide into a world of Us and Them.† Ortiz tells about her struggle in school to not speak a language he was accustoming to. â€Å"Children in school were punished and looked upon with disdain if they did not speak and learn English quickly and smoothly.† (30) He also uses the words â€Å"corporal punishment† and â€Å"ostracism† to describe the feeling, and possibly real, threats he lived with if he did not abide by the rules being forced on them. (30) This would be more than enough for any one to rebel, but he did not. One thing that stood out in his description of what he was enduri ng was the love he had for language. He states, â€Å"I loved language, the sound, meaning, and magic of language.† (30)   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Lucero connected with me she was telling about her adventure of seeing snow for the first time, and the different structures of the houses for what she was use to in her community. If one had not seen a paved road in their life, it would be a strange site. (30) The thought of what these people endured should enrage most of us. Think about our children being called â€Å"stupid Indian/savages.† There would be some one fighting in the street or some one suing some one else. Who could these people fight, an entire nation? Who would they sue, the government? It has been made clear that most of these people’s rights had been taken away. They were forced to conform or be ridiculed. Ortiz says it best with â€Å"†¦ the intent of U.

Overall the article seems to be written in a logical flow with each section placed in the right order. Introduction is strong and everything said in the introduction is substantiated with existing literature. Product placement is a practice of placing a brand or a product in the scene or script of news and entertainment. Product placement has bee n seen in the Hollywood movies for a long time (Fristoe, 2005). The article is trying to evaluate whether this type of marketing is ethical or not. Implicit product placement has also been discussed in the article. The legal status of product placement is also discussed. ... The article does not clearly see product placement as deceptive but it argues that there are aspects of product placement that may not be approved by ethical theories and general public. The article raises questions about the implicit aspect of product placement. The argument made by the article with regards to the implicit product placement is that people should be aware of product placement. If this is not the case then product placement might be deceptive. Existing literature has also raised questions on implicit product placement (Spence & van Heekeren, 2005). The authors argue that when people are not aware of the persuasion then it might be unethical according to categorical imperative and Aristotelian ethics. The former teaches to treat humanity as oneself, and the latter lay burden of right or wrong on the intentions of the actor. According to both ethical theories implicit product placement is unethical, given that people are not aware of such a marketing practice. A strong point of the article is that it has questioned an assumption that is mistreated as fact in the corporate world to justify excessive marketing. Studies have shown that uneducated people might not have a clear idea about how marketing works and they might not be aware of their rights (Culnan, 2006). Marketing can also manipulate people who are not emotionally or financially mature (Laczniak & Murphy, 2006). The assumption that consumers are smart and knowledgeable is not justified and the article too raises questions about it. The authors have tried to remain impartial throughout the article and have attempted to give a genuine account of ethical issues

This makes it flexible and convenient to full time workers, employers, parents and any other person who cannot afford tim e to attend classes. Since every development and advancement has both benefits and limitations, online learning has social, economic, social and technological limitations. By comparing the traditional mode of learning and the online education, traditional learning method has more beneficial factors to online education. Traditional education was not only gaining knowledge but it encouraged social interaction. By interacting with other people, one is able to gain courage and understand the real life experiences. In addition, group discussion is a motivating factor that helps students to face life with courage. Majority of those who support online education argue that it is time saving and cost effective. To be relevant, it saves the traveling time to students but to educators, it is not time saving compared to traditional education. This is because the educator has to respond to e very student’s query which is all different. It is difficult to address the requirements of students’ different backgrounds and cultural beliefs which might be different from the educational culture provided online (Siddiqui 92). In addition, online education is not convincing enough since the learner does not get the argumentative point to a response. For instance, a student learns from another student views, the teacher’s stand, and this leads to better educators, therefore, better system. In addition, in one has access to a variety of materials to study like student’s centre, library, laboratories and writing centre. These facilities are not available in online learning and the learning environment may not be conducive for learning due to interruptions of children, unexpected visitors among other family issues. Online education l imits thinking capacity and narrows the development process of children (Dominguez 17). In the growth and development of children, it is important for them to interact socially and play together. With the introduction of online education, children sit behind a computer and perform his or her task. This is so boring to them and they may end up developing some flimsy characteristics. Traditional education gives room for interaction and sharing of idea in and out of classroom. This is because all students participate in group discussions and during break time, they are able to interact freely.
